Dato Ir. Alice is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Utilities Sarawak, responsible for the provision of water, electricity and gas for Sarawak since 2017. Prior to this, she had worked as the General Manager of Sibu Water Board. Currently, Dato Ir. Alice is the Chairman of Sibu Water Board as well as the board member of Kuching Water Board and LAKU Management Sdn. Bhd. Alice is a professional engineer with a Civil Engineering degree from University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Tennessee, USA and an Executive Master of Business Administration from University of Ohio, Athens, Ohio, USA. Alice had served in the water industry for 27 years and she had work experiences in the various fields of project management, water treatment process, and Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Management. She had presented papers on various topics including Non-Revenue Water Management, Women Development, Energy and Hydropower at various national and international conferences. Her specialization is in Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Management.

Paul is a leading figure in international and regional water issues and now serves as the President in his strategically-focused consulting company, ReiterIWS Ltd (HK) and ReiterIWS LLC (US). Paul and his partners help clients cope with the increasingly challenging set of issues facing the water community and other environmental infrastructure providers related to growth, urbanization/densification and climate change. Paul speaks around the world about these challenges and the potential innovative solutions needed to meet them. Paul served as the Executive Director of IWA for more than ten years – an organization that serves as the global network for water professional with 10,000 members in 130 countries. Paul and his team of Ryan Yuen, Tao Lee, Rose Lang, and others, worked together to build the IWA Asia-Pacific network that we know and appreciate today. Paul has over 30 years of experience in water industry knowledge brokering, utility project innovation and utility management in the areas of water, electricity and solid waste. Through this period, Paul has worked as a utility leader, private consultant and association director.

Professor How Yong Ng is a Provost Chair’s Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He also currently serves as the Director of the NUS Environmental Research Institute and the Director of the Sembcorp-NUS Corporate Laboratory. His research focuses on biological treatment processes including modelling, membrane bioreactor and microbial fuel cell for water reuse and energy recovery. He had contributed to more than 350 publications in referred international journals and conference papers. Professor Ng is an Associate Editor of Water Research and an Editor of the Journal of Water Reuse and Desalination. He is a Fellow of the International Water Association (IWA) and is currently the Vice-Chair of the IWA Membrane Technology Specialist Group (MTSG) and the President of the Environmental Engineering Society of Singapore (EESS).

She has won many provincial scientific awards, such as “Beijing Scientific and Technological Progress – the Second Prize”, “Beijing Water Science and Technology Award”.

Yang joined Isle in mid-2019 as the company expands further into Asia. Prior to joining Isle, Yang has had 10 years of experience developing water infrastructure projects in the Philippines. He also led the establishment of the nationwide Collaborative Innovation Program which launched initiatives such as the Water Technology Summit, the Confluence innovation leadership forum, and several technology trials. Yang holds a BSc. Economics (Cum Laude) and is an active member of the International Water Association and was appointed as the youngest Conference President of the IWA Efficient Urban Water Management conference series. He co-founded the Philippine Young Water Professionals and is a prolific mentor to youth organizations. In Isle, Yang is motivated to advance technologies that help conserve and sustain our natural resources.

Dato’ Ir Dr A. Bakar Jaafar, a Malaysian, is an engineer by profession (BEM 12555), an environmental scientist by specialisation, and a maritime expert by current pre-occupation. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, Australia, a Master of Environmental Science from Miami University, a Doctorate in [Marine] Geography from the University of Hawaii @Manoa, and Honorary Doctorate of Science (University of Terengganu Malaysia) in 2017. Currently, he is a Professor, at UTM Perdana Centre, Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, and Director, UTM Ocean Thermal Energy Centre (UTM OTEC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (since 1 August 2013).
He has gained wide experience and expertise in both public and private sectors, after having served in the Malaysian Civil Service for over 22 years in various positions including as the Director-General of the Department of Environment from 1990 to 1995. He led the Delegation of Malaysia to numerous Intergovernmental Meetings, including the 1st WG Meeting of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in Sundsvall, Sweden, in 1988. Since his optional retirement in the public service in late 1995, he continued, however, to serve the Government of Malaysia as Elected-Member to the Commission on the Limits of Continental Shelf, UN Headquarters, New York (1997-2002)(2002-2007)(2007-2012) and an Adviser to the National Committee on Continental Shelf, Secretariat to National Security Council, Prime Minister’s Department, Malaysia.
For his past and on-going contributions toward the common goods and sustainable future, by advancing knowledge, expertise, and skills, particularly in the fields of science, technology, and the environment, he has been made Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (FIEM); Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASc); and the University of Newcastle Convocation Medalist for Professional Excellence 2011, and “Anugerah Bukit Katil Cemerlang sempena MELAKA 750 Tahun, Anugerah Tokoh Profesional”

Professor Alkhaddar has extensive experience in Water and Environmental Engineering, with special expertise in Wastewater Treatment methods. He graduated from the University of Basra, Iraq as a Civil Engineer and completed his MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering Hydraulics from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.
He has maintained a very strong link with the UK Water and Environmental industry in order to stay involved with any new developments in the aforementioned fields. He also has excellent links with Professional bodies especially the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) where he was the President of the Institution in 2015-16. He is also a Fellow of the Institution and an Honorary Vice President of the Institution. He is also a member of the Joint Board of Moderators. This is the body that accredits all Civil Engineering Degrees in the UK and all around the world.
He is currently the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at LJMU where he manages 23 staff and over 780 students, who are on various courses such as HNC, BEng, MEng, MSc and PhD. The Department run fully accredited degrees by the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK and he led a number of these accreditations.
He has a number of International links which culminated of his appointment as a Visiting Professor to a number of International Universities in Turkey, Egypt and Iraq. He has also joined an International delegation to validate Civil and Environmental Engineering Programmes in the UK and internationally in Lithuanian and Saudi Universities.
He has developed a number of collaborative programmes with International Universities. One was a 2+2 programme with the University of Babylon and another one was with the International College for Business and technology (ICBT) in Sri Lanka where a top up degree programme was developed as has been running for over 6 years. He has published over 160 publications in refereed journals and international conferences. He has managed to attract over £1.5 Million in research and consultancy funding since the year 2000.

Datuk Ir. Abdul Kadir Mohd Din is the Managing Director of Sacra Sol Sdn Bhd, offering advisory services on water, wastewater, by products, green technology and environmental management. He was also appointed as Board of Director for Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd since July 2017.
He was re-elected as President of The Malaysian Water Association (MWA) in April 2019 (2019-2021). Prior to this appointment, he was the former CEO of Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd, a national sewerage company from 2009-2016 and the former COO with Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad, Malaysia’s Water Asset Management Company from 2007-2009, which both also wholly owned by the Minister of Finance incorporated.
He has more than 36 years of industry experience in the water and sewerage sectors, vast exposure in the engineering consultancy and public listed companies in senior management positions. He has extensive practical knowledge in planning, designing, managing water and sewerage works projects within the country and abroad in the United Kingdom, Brunei Darussalam, Middle East and Singapore. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from UiTM, Shah Alam and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
He is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM), ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) and Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK (MICE). He is also a Chairman of Malaysian Water Academy Sdn Bhd, Alumni Member of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), and member of various professional institutions which includes: Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (FIEM), Malaysian Water Association (MWA), Environmental Management of Research Associate of Malaysia (ENSEARCH), Malaysian Water Partnership (MyWP), Member of Malaysian Capacity Development Network for Sustainable Water Management (MyCDNet), Fellow of Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), and Water Environment Federation (WEF), United States. Further, he developed a business for the water industry’s smart solutions for entire water cycle not only for sustainability but also as a tool to serve society in a safe and secure manner.
He has attended various conferences as a thought leader and speaker on Digital Transformation of Water Utilities to optimize operations, energies, chemicals, water loss and managing entire water cycle with assets performance for achieving business goals. Olivier Pison is the General Manager for Smart Solutions in SUEZ Singapore. He is leading the development and the delivery of digital services for water utilities throughout Southeast Asia. He oversees a team of developers, scientists and engineers working on an innovative software solution to improve the Singapore Stormwater Management System and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
Prior to moving to Singapore, he worked for SUEZ in France, focusing on design, development and deployment of smart systems for drinking water, stormwater and waste water networks. He has past experience in solar energy project design and development for GDF SUEZ (Engie) in France.Olivier Pison graduated with master’s degrees from Ecole Polytechnique (France) and from U.C. Berkeley (USA) with specializations in applied mathematics and civil engineering.

He previously serve as Chairman of the Department of Advocacy PERPAMSI and Head of Partnership Department. In addition, Benny Andrianto also as Chairman of ASPASINDO (Association of Indonesia Private Water Companies) comprising 38 private water companies in Indonesia. Benny Andrianto is also active as an interviewers and speaker, invited in various event both National and overseas such as Manila Water Link, Water Loss Asia, as the panellist at SIWW Singapore, and also JWWA in Jakarta. Recently, he was invited as the only speaker from Indonesia at SCADA World Summit in Singapore, where the participants consist of researchers, lecturers and practitioners in SCADA from around the world. In 2016, Benny Andrianto was chosen as “Inspirational Figures” in Batam by Tribun Batam media, and in the following year chosen as one of “17 Selected Figures and Newsmaker” by Pos Metro Batam media. Ir. Dr. Tan Chee Fai has more than 20 years of working experience in the advanced engineering industry. Currently, Ir. Dr. Tan is Vice President, Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). He is the Fellow, ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology (AAET) and Fellow, Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). For Industry, he is the Chief Technical Officer of Robolab Technology Sdn Bhd and Vice President, MSM International Limited. He is actively involved in strategic and technical consultation to assist Malaysia Industries towards the 4th Industrial Revolution. He has led various Industry, University, and Malaysia Government as well as International funded projects such as EU FP7 and UNESCO Grant. With the knowledge and experience, Ir. Dr. Tan has contributed as Keynote Speaker in various important international engineering events such as World Robot Conference (WRC), World Intelligent Manufacturing Summit (WIMS) and ICE-IEM Future Engineers Conference. He was the UNESCO Individual Specialist to assess on engineering education at APEC Economy.  Based on his contribution to the engineering community especially IEM since the year 1998, Ir. Dr. Tan was awarded as the 2014 JCI Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian Award Honoree on Humanitarian and Voluntary Services Category. In the following year, Ir. Dr. Tan also received Ahli Mangku Negara (A.M.N.) [Member of the Order of the Defender of the Realm] bestowed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia (The Supreme Head of Malaysia) in 2015.
